Big Pumpkin 5K

I ran my next 5K race this past Saturday on Halloween morning... and the weather could not have been any worse. It was around 69 degrees and drizzling when we left home early that morning and a light rain continued throughout the hour before the race. However, around 5 minutes before the start time, the bottom fell out! And it poured until start time just enough to turn the temperature down... and I mean WAY down. And the race was brutal- cold, raining and I had this general ache all over me pretty much the entire race. But, once again I surprised myself with my best time yet- another minute less than my last race! Hubby did go with me to this race but he only snapped a shot or two as the race started and then proceeded to sit in the truck the rest of the race... so photos were at a minimum...



This is really the only pic of me... already soaking wet and only 20-30 feet past the Start line. Good times.
